We will keep you informed of developments in the appeal to the Parks and Shade Tree Commission on the cutting down of trees at 141 Henlopen Ave. Although a date has been scheduled, it is likely that the hearing will be postponed. As soon as the new date is confirmed, we will publish it.

The Mayor and Commissioners will meet for a regular meeting on Friday, June 15, in the Commissioners’ Room at 7:00 pm. Following items are scheduled for discussion and vote as appropriate:

  • Report of Police Department
  • Report of Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company
  • Report of Building and Licensing Department
  • Report of Planning Commission
  • Consideration of a proposed ordinance to amend Chapter 102 of the City Code that would remove Lot F, Surf Avenue, owned by the Village Improvement Association, from Section 605.1 of the City Building Code which removes the requirement that buildings erected on this lot be of fireproof materials.
  • Set the City Real Estate Tax Rate for the tax year beginning July 1, 2012 and ending June 30, 2013.
  • Submission of Nominating Petitions for Commissioners’ approval as to qualifications for candidates for the annual Municipal Election scheduled for August 11, 2013.
  • City Manager’s Report

  • Committee Report
